Abstract : The first side of the problem is the importance and seriousness of the topic and its negative effects and devastating consequences for the individual and community levels. The second side stands by observing the behavior of some university students that have lacked social responsibility. The third side is highlighted in the scarcity of studies in the development of social responsibility for university students in the Saudi Arabian society. The purpose of this study was to detect the effectiveness of a program that is based on the development of the interim guidance through a sample of students in King Abdul-Aziz university in Jeddah town and verification of the continued effectiveness of the program on the experimental group after the follow-up period, and verification of the objectives of the study were applied on the measurement of social responsibility (Samadi – Othamna 2008) and the socio-economic level of the family. (The Individual 2006), and the indicative program on a sample consisted of 20 female students from the regularity of Bachelor of these stage ranging in age from 18-20 years. Those who were selected intentionally received the lowest grades on the measure of social responsibility and were divided randomly into two group (experimental & control groups) at 15 girls in each group. To answer the questions about the study and purposes, the researcher uses experimental approach based on pre and post measurement using two equal groups. The results of the study were as follow: 1- There were statistically significant differences between the scores of the experimental group and the control group on the measurement of social responsibility and the result was in favor of the experimental group after the application of the program. 2- There were significant differences between the scores of the experimental group and the control group on the pre and post scales of dimensional measurement. 3- There are no statistically differences between the scores of the control group on pre and post scales regarding social responsibility. 4- There are not statistically significant differences between the scores of the experimental group on the scale of social responsibility. In the light of the previous study, the researcher reached a number of recommendations including; A) Parents should be aware of their role in the development of social responsibility of their children and taking into account the importance of the good example in this regard. B) Strengthening the institutions of education and socialization of the family, the university, houses of worship and media leadership. C) Paying attention to social responsibility by the education officials and education itself through the subjects and different activities. D) The activation of extra-curricular activities such as business volunteer and make them apart of the study plan for university students. E) Focusing on different programs for the development of social responsibility among students of all ages. F) Paying attention to the scientific thinking of the youth's spare time by education officials and educators to fill their leisure time with what is wholesome and positive.
