This research aims to apply the five "S" System on the readymade clothes' factories in Makkah Region [The five "S' system is mainly addressed to care with the work place, its organization and cleaning, and applying it on the readymade clothes factories at Holy Makkah is an attempt to promote the production of clothing with the required quality and quantity in the required time). Furthermore, it aims to measure the effectives of using the "S" system inside the readymade clothes factories on the production time, cost of production, increase productivity and quality improvement. The importance of the research is evident in improving work environment, achieve the optimal utilization of available resources and contribute in developing the field of readymade clothes manufacturing in K.S.A. through improving the quality of products and addressing the rapid changes in Industry.
The researcher used the experiment and descriptive approaches to answer the study questions through using tools of the study such as field visiting to readymade clothes factories and questionnaire form. By analyzing the results of the questionnaire, the five-step implementation of the Five "S" system (Sorting, - Set in order- Shine, systematic Cleaning- Standardize, Maintain- training and sustainability) was achieved within the garment factories in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The research also found a suitable working environment for all stages of ready-made clothes production. Furthermore, The results of the study showed that there are differences between the quantity of production, its costs and the time it took, before and after the implementation of the strategy of the five "S" system, as it increased the quantity of production and thus reduced the cost, and The time taken to produce one piece decreased after the implementation of the five "S" system.
The researcher recommended developing the working environment within the clothes factories, in line with the prevailing culture of society, until we reach a high-quality product. Moreover, she recommended developing clear guidelines in the production line to create a sound working environment at all stages of garment production, and training all working staff on the scientific-based techniques of controlling production quality.
