Abstract : The current study aimed to design a training program to acquire crochet art skills of depression patients as well as measuring its effect on eliminating disease severity, measuring patients' attitudes towards the suggested program. The researcher adopted the Quasi- Experimental method and descriptive method (case study) to apply the program on (5) samples of depression patients in middle depression grade and measure their improvement though Depression Pretest and Posttest. The study was applied in King Abdul-Aziz University, Psychology Department, College of Faculty of Arts & Humanities. The study revealed significant statistically differences among the skill test score before and after applying the program in favor of the posttest. In view of the findings, the researcher recommends the necessity of activating the crochet Therapy in hospitals and training chronic diseases patients on crochet to eliminate depression severity accompanying disease. In addition, the researcher recommends conducting further studies on treating with manual arts and open the field for psychiatric patients and encourage them to become productive persons, providing jobs for graduates of fabrics and clothes department in mental clinics or psychological counseling centers as "Work-Based Therapy Assistant Specialist" Keywords: depression, Work-Based Therapy – crochet Therapy – crochet – training program
