Abstract : This study intended to find out the effect of the regulatory environment on the performance of the staff of Khamis Mushayt General Hospital. To reach this goal, the study adopted the following independent variables (the effect of leadership and supervisory behaviour, the effect of providing opportunities for growth and professional progress, and an effect between the communication pattern). The study used the descriptive analytical method, in addition to using the questionnaire tool, which was distributed to the study sample consisting of (222) individuals from the Khamis Mushayt General Hospital. After data collection, it was statistically analyzed by SPSS and P value was less than (0.05). The study finds a number of outcomes, the greatest important of which are: The sample members strongly agree with the leadership and supervisory behaviour and its impact on the performance of the workers with general average of (4.36), especially with regard to dealing with hospital employees fairly without discrimination. The hospital adopts the participatory method of leadership and supervision in its work. Also, the sample members agree by general average of (3.82) especially on the axis of providing opportunities for promotion and progress and its effect on the performance of workers. This was shown in the following: There is a compatibility between the educational qualification beside the practical capabilities and the job degree and the application of the hospital administration to place the right person in the place. As for the pattern of communication, the sample members are not sure, as their answers were at an average agreement level with general average of (3.25), and it is clear that the information transmitted through the means of communication in the hospital is clear and the possibility of contacting the higher levels of the hospital without obstacles. Regarding the performance of workers, the sample members strongly agree with this axis by general average of (4.33), and this is evident when answers to the following statements: The employees exert sufficient effort to accomplish their tasks and the hospital's organizational environment makes the employees enjoy a high ability to work, excellence in seriousness and responsibility. Among the results, this study suggested a number of recommendations, the greatest significant of which are that leadership and supervisory behaviour is characterized by impartiality and that it is characterized by fairness when dealing with workers and their participation in decisions while giving them the powers and responsibilities that are commensurate with the progress of work. Work to improve career opportunities appropriately, accelerate the process of professional development, and enhance the feeling of the potential for achieving the ambition sought by hospital personnel. Maintaining an effective communication system by allowing employees to express their opinions and suggestions, discussing what happens in the work environment through periodic meetings and meetings between the high leadership and subordinates, holding training sessions on how to effectively communicate between hospital employees at all levels and the periodic measurement of the communication system and optimal use of the internal electronic communication systems.
