Founding Committee

A founding Committee was formed
for the Faculty of Computing and Information Technology in
Rabigh to perform certain tasks during the founding period
of the college. These tasks consist of developing a comprehensive understanding of the faculty needs in terms of technical and administrative staff and stating the criteria required to contract with the faculty members, lecturer, teaching assistants, technician and administrators. The
Committee also offers suggestions on curriculum and
educational programs and contributes to the development of a
comprehensive view on the college’s majors and prepares the
necessary studies and counseling, to run the academic
departments.
The committee follows also the workflow on the college’s
buildings projects and prepares the needed specifications
for the furnishing of classrooms, laboratories and offices.
During the admission period and the beginning of the school
year, the Commission defines the required conditions for
admission and formulates policies and plans to start the
studies in the college.

Based on the University
President’s decision No. 5812 on 18\4\1431 H, regarding the
formation of a technical committee for the Faculty of
Computing and Information Technology Rabigh, as follows:
The Commission exercises the functions and responsibilities
of the College Board, described in the calends and
regulations of the Council of Higher Education. The
committee submits minutes of meetings to the University
President for approval.
