COMPUTATIONAL BIOLOGY RESEARCH GROUP
|
INTRODUCTION
INTRODUCTION |
Computational Biology Research Group conducts
research on the computational foundations of genomics, developing
algorithmic, bioinformatics, statistical, and machine learning methods
to interpret the functional elements encoded in the human genome,
reconstruct the regulatory circuits they define, and understand their
evolutionary mechanisms. |
OBJECTIVE |
The main objectives of the group are:
• To perform advanced research in computational biology for
scientific applications and industries.
• To become a center of excellence for training, research and
development in the domain of computational biology.
|
RESEARCH
FOCUS |
The research focuses on the following areas:
• Bioinformatics includes medical informatics, health informatics,
and biological inspired computation methods.
• Genome interpretation, evolution, and epigenomics.
• Other application areas include biometrics. |
